Vale do Lobo – Royal Course, Algarve – Portugal

Today we played the second course in Vale do Lobo – the Royal Course.

We found this course tighter & shorter than the Ocean Course. It was still really nice & well kept. The bird life on the course is good & the golf club encourages it by providing shelters for the birds. I saw these three large geese waddling along the path – when we came up the 11th here they were sitting in a perfect row on the green taking it all in – see a couple of photos below.

The 16th hole is a par three with cliff top carryover – one of the most celebrated golfing images in the world, which has become the veritable symbol of golf in the Algarve.

Another enjoyable round while basking in the Algarve sun : )

About SUNGRL

This blog was originally set up to share our 9 month adventure around Europe and the USA with friends and family in 2014. On returning to NZ in January 2015 I decided to carry it on so I could continue to share any future travel adventures - it has become my electronic travel diary. I hope you enjoy and get inspired to visit some of the wonderful places we have visited.
